This property sustained serious floodwater ingress due to an intense storm front causing water runoff to enter the home. The floodwater contained Faeces, dirt, debris and contamination. Swift were appointed to handle the task of cleaning and decontaminating the basement as there was a lot of mould growth and a large amount of decomposition mixed with approximately 30,000 litres of floodwater and sludge. The odour could only be described as extreme and the health risks were quite serious while the remediation took place. Careful management of the risks prevented any problems. Efficient procedures and high powered equipment was used to ensure a prompt and cost effective result.
